Music Feeds LIVE: Japanese Wallpaper Streaming Today 2.40pm AEST

Monday, July 6th, 2015

One of the brightest young guns the Australian music scene has thrown forward for a long time, beatmaker Japanese Wallpaper, is riding high after releasing his debut EP last month and to continue the good times of 2k15, he is heading into the Music Feeds studio for a live stream this afternoon!

Otherwise known as Gab Strum, JW was first discovered by the eternally on-point triple j Unearthed machine, which selected him as last year’s Unearthed High competition winner, taking his divinely sculpted soundscapes nation-wide.

His self-titled EP, which our reviewer described as “a layered and glassy piece of art”, was also followed by news of an east coast tour alongside another frustratingly talented youngster, Montaigne, which the pair are currently in the midst of (see dates below).

To send some spine-tingly electronic tunes your way and chat all about the current tour and more, Japanese Wallpaper will be in LIVE from 2.40pm today AEST, right here! Get ready for bliss.

Music Feeds LIVE: Patrick James Streaming This Wednesday

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2015

Port Macquarie crooner Patrick James is about to launch his delightful new single California Song with a couple of intimate shows this weekend, but before he brings his delicate soulful sounds to fans in Sydney and Melbourne, he will be popping into the Music Feeds LIVE studio to wow you all via the majesty of the information super-highway (it’s a live stream, is what we mean).

“The song is about starting again, making mistakes, forbidden love and finding a new path and following it, even if you don’t know where you’ll end up,” explains James of the mug-of-hot-chocolate-if-it-were-a-song that is California Song. “The lyric ‘Meet me in California’ is meant to suggest wanting to be in a place where your slate is clean and there is only you and the one you love, and that’s all that matters for that moment in time.”

Have a listen to the heartfelt new track below and keep an eye on our Facebook page for the live stream of it, and a few more touching goodies, this Wednesday June 3rd, 4.00 pm AEST.

Falling In Reverse and Escape The Fate have been taking their Bury The Hatchet tour across North America the past year as a symbol of the end of animosity between the two bands which began when Radke’s post as Escape The Fate frontman was taken up by bandmate Craig Mabbitt. Radke will be heading to Music Feeds fresh from one such ‘Bury The Hatchet’ Sidewave in Melbourne and just before kicking off another in Sydney. He’ll also chat with us about Falling In Reverse’s third full-length record, Just Like You, which was released just days ago.

The Illinois-based five-piece have a wealth of work from which to draw on in this special performance, including their debut album We All Have Demons, follow ups My Devil In Your Eyes, Know Hope and their latest release, 2014’s Hold On Pain Ends.

Their latest release was produced by Mike Green (Paramore, Pierce The Veil, All Time Low) and features additional guest vocals from Craig Owens of Chiodos. The album was inspired by the band’s observations while on the road and tackles dark, real life issues like self harm, self sabotage, pain and the search for authentic connection.
