Sigur Ros Singer Flies Solo

Some musicians are so prolific, they need to branch out and spread their wings and go solo for a while.

After more than a decade fronting the incredible Icelandic act Sigur Ros, Jon Thor Birgisson – otherwise known as Jonsi -collected the songs that didnt fit the four piece, and embarked on his first solo album.

It’s called Go, and in a departure for the adventurous and enigmatic songwriter, much of it is sung in English.

Melbourne’s British India will pack their bags and head to Perth for an all-ages, free show on Friday, April 16, in the Northbridge Piazza. Taking place as part of the Music Feedback campaign, the show will encourage 12 to 25 year olds to participate in music and other activities to improve mental wellbeing.
