Hard MarshMellow were a successful original band that played in Perth between 1991 – 1996.

The band had a strong following and was one of the few original acts to regularly travel down south. They were nominated for several WAMI Awards between 1992 and 1995 including most popular male vocal, female vocal, bass player, drummer, percussionist, guitarist and CD.

They were featured on Shades of Perth volume 1 CD in 1992 with their cult song Surfing On A Wave as a last minute thing. Due to the shortness of the song, it was able to get solid airplay thanks to people like Dean Clairs. They also featured on Shades of Perth volume 2 CD in 1994 with a political song called Step Aside.

In 1994 they went into Poons Head and recorded one of the first locally produced CD’s in WA called BIMBO with a pink marshmallow CD featuring 5 tracks.
The band had many line up changes that included Glenn Hewitt from the J Babies on drums and Sal Pizzata from The Kaper/Beaverloop/Downsyde also on drums, while the only constant member was front man Scott Arnold-Eyers.
