FRANK SINATRA & ELLA FITZGERALD TRIBUTE DINNER SHOW

In celebration of two of the most influential jazz and swing artists of the 20th Century, Earl Cole and Chelsea J Gibson will be performing a tribute show to Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. Held at Bouchon Bistro in Wembley on Wednesday August 24, the show will pay tribute to the works and success of these two artists in one of Perth’s best modern French restaurants.

For $110 per person, you can watch the performance which, in keeping with the French theme, includes entertainment from the Lady Velvet Cabaret Dancers, while you indulge in an included 3 course meal. THROWING SHAPES AND BEATS

Local drum’n’bass peeps Throwing Shapes are going to be throwing out some beats shortly. Fox Shannon, Matt Huxtable, Lt Dan and Rob Lumston are Throwing Shapes. Their tracks Strange Chemistry and Desire Lines have recently appeared on the online photo shoot promo video for the launch of UK mens’ magazine Maxim here in Australia. Strange Chemistry is also appearing on the highly successful Sounds Like Café compilation later this year alongside artists like Dave Stewart from Eurythmics, John Waters and Seeker Lover Keeper. Check the lads out when they hit The Rosemount on Wednesday, October 12.

MONKEY MAGIC

British indie rock heavyweights Arctic Monkeys are already slated to headline Southbound, but they’ve just announced a headlining show for the day before as well. With their latest album Suck It & See following from the success of previous triumphs Whatever People Say I Am That’s What I Am, Favourite Worst Nightmare and Humbug, the band will be churning out their hits for your amusement at Belvoir Amphitheatre on Friday, January 6.
